K2 - Extra part - diode?

Hello all -

Just got done with all the components on the K2 and I have a couple extra parts I just wanted to make sure about... one seems to be some kind of a glass diode - see pic:

The other part is a 4.7M resistor that was not on the tape.

I don't see either of these in the parts list... but I could be passing them over.
