K2 Freq Counter Probe Assembly

Dennis Vavra
I need know if I am using the right component for const of Freq Counter Probe as described on Page 45. It calls
for a 10pF axial-lead cap.  I have something that looks like a small yellow resistor without stripes, with markings
"K1G 100J  and BK4 0545" is this the right component for the probe?  Dennis Vavra,  AD5LY

Dennis,

It sounds like you have the right one - the '100J' is the significant
marking - the '10' part is the 2 significant digits and the '0' is the
'multiplier' (number of zeros to add), so '100' means 10 pf. - similarly
'103' would mean 10,000 pf or 0.01 uf.

100J is common (IEC) markings for 10pF.

Looking at the instructions, and at my K2 Freq Counter probe it does
sounds correct.
