Our new K2 Internal Mic Adaptor (IMA) kit provides flexibility to quickly
reconfigure your K2 for a different mic connector pin-out in the event that your primary mic is forgotten, damaged, or lost during portable operations. Or, if you just want to upgrade to a new/better one that's wired differently. So far, orders for this new kit are well below expectations. Unfortunately without significantly more interest, this very cool new K2 accessory won't be going to production any time soon, and certainly not at the phenomenally low price we are attempting to offer it at. Given how enthusiastic those who have ordered are about it, we are wondering why there has been so little interest. Is it that with the dramatic increase in Reflector traffic since the K3's announcement, that our posts are getting lost in the crowd? Is it because readers are too busy with Field Day preparations to visit our website? If you are a K2 owner and you've not yet had a look, then we invite you to take a moment to visit our website at http://www.unpcbs.com to check out this new accessory. Gary,
I think the reason for the low level of interest in your new Mic Header may be simple - those of us with SSB adaptors have already chosen our microphone and set our mic header accordingly. I for one have no intention of swapping to a different type of mic, so see no need to change the mic header block again. Beautiful though your IMA is, I have no need of it. I imagine most K2 owners are in the same position as me. sorry! Yep, same here. I'm a CW op but I do have the SSB module and a mic. I've configured the header for the mic and that's it. I'm set. No mic changes here. Actually the last time I used the mic it was in a CW QSO and I used the PTT switch to send code :=) - Keith N1AS - - K2 5411.ssb.100 - -----Original Message----- I think the reason for the low level of interest in your new Mic Header may be simple - those of us with SSB adaptors have already chosen our microphone and set our mic header accordingly.
