K2 Items for sale

wsm-3
Hi
I have for sale a noise blanker, serial port, and SSB adapter for the
K2. All are new and completely assemblied, but never tested,
with manuals.
I also have a toasted K2 for sale. The K2 worked fine for three
days on both receive and transmit. Then a solder bridge showed up
on connector J7 between pins 2 and 3, which is the 5 volt and 8 volt
lines to the control board. That blew most of the digital IC's on the
control board and front panel.
I replaced all the IC's on both the control board and the front
panel. Also replaced U4 and U6 on the RF board. It still has no
receive or transmit.

I'm not capable of repairing it, so if anyone wants any of the above
items, please make an offer off this reflector.
Thanks
Scott N5SM

It looks like the mail reflector is back up. QTH.NET and QSL.NET and their
associated e-mail reflectors were off line for *some* areas of the world for
the past several days, while others reported normal activity! The last
message I received before this morning was from 1/25/2007.

And they say e-mail is more reliable that point-to-point contact on the
shortwaves... Hrumph!

Not to burst your bubble....but if we maintained our radios and antenna systems
as poorly as some ISPs maintain their DNS records and servers, you'd have
similar problems.
