K2 + K160RX

George
Built and installed the 160 kit in my K2 (6911) today. After alignment it
works good on all bands transmitting on CW. But on all bands receiving cw
the cw  tone is distorted! What could I have done? I removed the K160RX and cw
sigs  still distorted.   Geo/W2BPI

  Geo,

It is likely something that "just happened" and is unrelated to the
K160RX installation.
However, is there any way that you can describe "distorted".  I can
think of many ways that a CW note would sound distorted, but a bit more
information might be helpful to narrow the field of candidates.

If it a a "warbling" type of distortion, check RFC15 on the bottom of
the RF board for continuity (use the ohmmeter, it will measure 5 volts
on both sides even if open).
