K2 Memory and 60 meters management

Mike Herr
I have programed in the CW and SSB freqs for 60 meters into the
memories. If I directly access the memories I get the proper
frequencies and modes. But if I set for frequency hopping it starts in
CW mode and stays in CW, regardless of frequency. So I end up scanning
all the freqs in the CW mode. Any thought on forcing the proper mode?

How did you program the memories Mike?  Using the K3 Memory Utility, I
put the CW [channel centered] frequency in VFO A, and the SSB [offset]
frequency in VFO B for each of the five channels [51-55 for me] and made
them frequency hoppers.  The K3 scans on VFO A [CW], but it doesn't seem
to matter, if there is activity there, it stops and a single A/B tap
changes to SSB on the same channel.  Works for me.

Uh, Fred, the reference is for a K2, for which the K3 Memory Utility is
useless.
I have a K2 so I am interested in such a solution.

Uh ... you are sooo right and I am sooo wrong, except for the K3, which
seems to work.  I've never used any scanning on my K2.
