K2 Menu - SPLIT

Can't find this info in manual or web site (doesn't mean it isn't there).

K2 secondary menu item SPLIT has options nor and PEr.  What's the difference?

The PEr selection stores the split/xit/rit selections per band, instead
of staying the same when you change bands.
