K2 & P3 Question

Ci Jones
I am using my P3 with my K2 when I travel. Are there any plans to revise the K2 firmware to communicate with the P3 in a way similar to the way my K3 works? I realize this may not be a big priority except for a few of us, and I have no idea how difficult it would be. But it would certainly help sell more P3's I would think...

Re: K2 & P3 Question

Alan Bloom
AFAIK there are no plans to modify the K2 firmware to work with the P3,
but there are plans to modify the P3 firmware to work with the K2.  It
will never be as closely-integrated as the K3, but most of the features
should work, including readout of the K2 frequency on the P3, click to
QSY, accurate amplitude display, etc.  The main feature that won't work
is fixed-tune mode.

It's on the list.
