Hi gang, I have a very old Rig Blaster interface that uses jumpers to match the transceiver's microphone to the Rig Blaster outputs. The instructions are quite old and they don't list the jumper configuration for Elecraft rigs. I seem to remember that the K2 mic jack is configured the same as a Kenwood. Could someone please verify this for me. Also, is there anything I should know about running psk31 with a barefoot K2? Thanks in advance. The K2 has internal jumpers for the mic jack configuration. This allowed for
the use of almost any microphone. I suggest you open yours to see how it is wired. Refer to the manual for the layout of the configuration header. 73, Bruce, N1RX > I seem to remember that the K2 mic jack is > configured the same as a Kenwood. Thhanks Bruce -- I think I have an older K2 (s/n 1103) that doesn't have
the jumpers - The jumpers are a good idea, it good to see they've incorporated them Tnx Tom wb2qdg k2 1103 On 11/27/2012 6:49 PM, Bruce Beford wrote: > The K2 has internal jumpers for the mic jack configuration. Tom.
You either have the microphone configuration header that was indtalled as a part of the KSB2 option or you do not have the KSB2 option installed. All properly constructed K2s with the KSB2 optionl 9 will have that Microphone Configuration Header on the Front Panel Board. It is not a consideration for the serial number of the K2, that jumper became available at the first time the KSB2 was made available and is applicable to all K2s. I have K2 SN 00020 and have the microphone configuration header installed (part of the KSB2), and I have no problem interfacing with any ham microphone - pro-audio mics requiring phantom power are a different matter entirely. 73, Don W3FPR On 11/27/2012 6:51 PM, Tom McCulloch wrote: > Thhanks Bruce -- I think I have an older K2 (s/n 1103) that doesn't > have the jumpers - The jumpers are a good idea, it good to see > they've incorporated them > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Could someone please verify this for me. Sorry that the other replies misinterpreted your question. I run an "old" RigBlaster Plus with my K2, and the RB should be jumpered for Kenwood 8-pin round if your K2 is set correctly. I don't have the manual handy but it should be av available on line from the WestMountain site.
