K2 - Paddle & computer co-exsiatence

Issac,

Be certain that auto-detect is turned on.  If it is off, behavior will
be exactly as you describe.

Enter the menu for INP, press EDIT and then tap the DISPLAY button to
toggle ADET - if you tap DISPLAY once and see ADET ON, you will know
that it had been set to OFF,  Multiple taps of DISPLAY will toggle ADET
on and off.

Isaac,

You may look at these links to see if they might help.
 Something about autodetect diodes and optocouplers
together one needs to be more careful which components
to use so that the PIC in the K2 ends up seeing the
right signaling.

Hello
Thanks for all who advised.
Problem is now solved.
Had to use RTS and not DTR, and also changed the 1n4148 diodes to 1n5288
(sk).
