[K2] Q7/8 thermal pads

Conway Yee
What is the advantage of sticking the thermal pads onto the transistors
instead of the heatsink itself?  The manual is VERY explicit in saying
that the adhesive side must be on the transistor.

tnx.

Conway,

It is simply easier that way.  Trying to stick the thermal pads to the
heat sink can be done, but it is more difficult to get them aligned
properly.  We used to stick them to the heat sink until someone figured
out that putting them on the transistors was so easy that it should
normally be done that way.
