K2 SPLIT/RIT/XIT LED

Bernard Gaffney, N8PVZ/QRP
The Operations section of the K2 owner's manual, under
Split and Reverse Operation, states that an LED can be
added to the Front panel that will turn on whenever
Split, RIT or XIT is in effect, and to see the "Adding
a SPLIT/RIT/XIT LED to the K2" application note.
However, the app note doesn't seem to be on Elecraft's
web page under either Technical Notes or the
Application Notes link under Tech notes. Where can I
find the app note? I'm just curious to see what adding
the LED entails, not sure if I'd actually do it.

Thanks

RE: K2 SPLIT/RIT/XIT LED

Bernie,

It is at http://www.qslnet.de/member/la3za/K2/modAny.html - furthermore if
you want to put the LED in a keycap, you can see how that is done by
following the links on Sverre's K2 page at
http://www.qslnet.de/member/la3za/K2.html .
