Just got the K60XV installed in my K2 (#337). All my firmware is
current. I can access and use the 60m frequencies just fine, and I programmed the first 5 memories for the allowed channels. When I attempt to enable channel hopping I run into some "issues," possibly related to my misunderstanding of how this works. If I edit "rATES" to be "CH SC", channel hopping doesn't work. Tuning VFO A continues to modify the frequency in the normal way. If I edit "rATES" to be "CH SC-TN" (manual tuning enabled - not really sure what this means), channel hopping works and the VFO cycles through the first 5 memories that I have set to 60m channels just like I expected. Under neither of the above conditions will scanning work. If I initiate scanning by "holding" "RCL", then "holding" the appropriate channel number (the one "STOREd" after editing "rATES), the MHz decimal point blinks as is should, the displayed frequency shifts about +20 hz, the receiver mutes for a few seconds, then the frequency never changes again. The receiver will periodically mute for a few seconds, but no further scanning happens. Any advice or corrections would be appreciated! 73, Randy, KS4L ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I found my problem. All the 60m frequencies must be setup in VFO A.
The instructions say this at the beginning (though in parenthesis), but I guess I skipped over it! Now all is well. 73, Randy, KS4L Randy Moore wrote: > Just got the K60XV installed in my K2 (#337).
