K2: Slight crackle with SSB tx with KPA100

Hi folks,

I'm just doing some fine tuning with my K2 after a few years of use.  I
now have a second receiver so I can listen to my audio and fine tune
those filters for SSB tx.

I notice a slight crackling appears in my SSB transmission when at the
point the KPA100 starts operating.  It does not get worse when the power
is increased - so I am sure it's not RF feedback.  Happens on all
bands.  When I am below the 11w level and the KPA is inactive the SSB
audio loses the crackle around the edges.

Any ideas?  Do other people have this?
