Hi,
After many e-mail exchange last month regarding K2 voltage display, I
finaly did a modification tonight. First, before my mod, the K2 was
powered on a Astron RS-35M power supply with a real output voltage
took at the K2 connector of 13.75V and the K2 display 13.1V.
I decided to replace R10 196K 1% on the control board with a +/- 25
turns 250K trimmer... very precise trimmer !!! I adjusted the trimmer
to display 13.7V on the K2 display. After I tested the K2 on an
external batterie with real 13.1V.... the K2 now displayed 13.1V. So
if I change from different power source with differente voltage...
the K2 now indicates the proper value.... at least the real external
voltage.
Unfornunately, I soldered the trimmer.... so I don't have the new
value... :-(
But anyway, I am sure that the value would be MY value, and could be
a little different from K2 to K2.... the point is : this mod seems to
work... for me. i will leave the trimmer there for now. It is
difficult to change the value without a extremely small plastic
screwdriver.... and it looks nice.... My first real "mod"... ;-)
I did a few macro photos of the mod...

PS Many thanks to Don W3FPR who believe that I can do it !!! ;-)
