K2. What with RF-gain???

Alexander Ponomarenko-4
Hi!
I have a problem after instalation KAF2 on Control
Board. The "RF-GAIN" regulator don't work now.
They don't work in any position PRE, ATT and OFF
ATT/PRE. Where I should search a problem?

Alex,

There is no direct relationship between the KAF2 and the Pre-amp /
Attenuator functions - the control board microprocessor does control most
everything in the K2, so that would be the only thing common - control is
through the AUXBUS signal, but if that signal line had a problem, there are
a lot of other things that would not work too (things such as band changes).

Check to see if the relays for the preamp (K17) and Attenuator (K16) are
being changed - if they operate properly, at least the attenuator should
work because it has no active components, only resistors and the relay.
