Well, I found on eBay listing a tuning knob from a Yaesu FT-450D so, sight unseen, I bid and won it. I was hoping it would be the same size and style of the Yaesu FT100d (which I own).....
For $15 I received the FT-450D tuning knob and I like it!! It fits perfectly on my K2 tuning shaft. IMHO, I think it looks better than the original boring K2 knob.
However, the Yaesu FT-450 knob is a bit smaller in size than the K2 original but about the same weight as the K2 knob. It also has a "real" finger dimple molded into the knob which works great!
So...the FT-450D knob isn't as large as the knob on my FT-100D.......hmmmm, I thinking of switching the tuning knobs between the FT-100 and the FT-450. That might just work.
