K2 as mobile

Mike Short
How are K2's as mobile rigs? I am considering putting one in a car with a
High Sierra antenna.

The K2 is a fine mobile transceiver.  The sensitive receiver helps when
using a marginal antenna (all HF mobile antennas are marginal IMHO)
I built one K2/100 for a ham who used it mobile in an 18 wheeler and he
had no trouble with it.  I am not really certain why you are concerned.
In most cases, the physical space in the vehicle is the major consideration.
