K2 case holes

jpgabbard
I have been working on my Wilderness Sierra and noticed the nice countersunk holes and flathead screws in its case and wondered if anyone has done the same to the case of the K2?

John,

Whatever turns you on - the screws only hold the enclosure together.  In
the long past I recall a few builders who had wished for countersunk
holes and flathead screws, and at least one said they had done it.  I do
not know the result of their modification.  Black flathead screws and
available from Elecraft (used for the K1, KX1 and the K3), but you may
find McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) to be a good source for a suitable
quantity.

BTW - there are those of us who actually like the appearance of the
panhead screws used in the K2, but YMMV.
