Karl Anderson (NM7N) is the subject of the article "The Fishing is Great on Mount Saint Helens" posted January 7, 2008 on the front page of the ARRL web site (http://www.arrl.org). In it he talks about his Elecraft K2 and battery used for the backpack operation. It is a good read--and features one of our favorite rigs.
