Don -
The US Electrical Code Book (whatever year they
are now working to) - makes a big distinction
between all of these so called grounds. When
vendors, like the IC-7000 put a hefty ground
lug on their case - I'm assuming they expect
prudent hams to have a copper coated ground
rod outside of their shack - to which they
connect these things to. The US Hospital
industry remembers all too well, those patients
who expired - because of faulty and different (!)
ground systems in various wings of old
and upgraded hospital facilities. I'm not
sure what any of this has to do with the K2,
but it is a solid topic for hams to understand.
I guess the answer is no, there is no defined
ground plane in the K2.
