KPA100 repaired and reinstalled with good tx reports on 40 meters. usual
replacement of a couple of diodes and the 1N5711s after an ESD hit. I know, I
know, it should be disconnected but I have another fix (800 microhenry
inductor across antenna and ground) which will be installed today and has been the
subject of previous posts ad nauseum.
I do see a brief "high current" flash when I first key the mike. Does this
mean I'm not done? SWR seems ok according to leds on the KAT100. It could
be that I need to re-align the kat100 although I though I got it pretty close
with the little pot set right in middle of zero range.
