Tony,
Did you plug the KSB2 in correctly? Check it again.
If that does not fix it, remove the KSB2 board and stick some jumper
wires between pin 1 and 3 of both J9 and J10. Does the audio come back
to normal? If so, there is a problem on the KSB2 board.
If that does not fix it, check to see if you have the RX ANT turned on
in the menu.
If you have an XG1 or XG2, try that and see if you get anywhere near an
S-9 indication on the S-meter.
You may be in for some signal tracing it those quick checks do not
reveal the problem.

The only two units that I had removed were the SSB unit and the 100 Watt PA. The rig is receiving ok because I can see the S meter. However receiver audio is very low and this includes the sidetone level which I have set at 60. I have plugged in the original speaker directly (omitting the 100W PA). However the audio is still low. This is a mystery to me because everything was fine until I repaired the microphone problem and reassembled the K2. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance de Tony EI5EM
