K2 - power out

A question about power out with my K2. I really had never paid attention to
it before, so there may not be a problem.
On the low bands, 40, 80 and 160M I get a little more than 100W out when set
for 100W.
On the other bands except 17M I get 98-100W out when set to 100W.
On 17M I get 80W out when set for 100W. The voltage measures 13.0V key up
and 11.8V key down on the K2's display on all bands when set for 100W.
I made sure C32 and C34 were peaked - no difference.

Any ideas or is this normal?
Is my voltage dropping too much?

Is the power output low on 17 meters from the base K2 as well?  Unplug
the power from the KPA100 and power only the base K2 at the coaxial
connector and check with the power control set to max - compare the 17
meter output with 20 meters and with 15 meters to answer the relevant
question.

Secondly, what is the vintage of your KPA100?  There was a period of
time when the resistors for R19 and R20 were found to be inductive, and
that would cause low power on some bands, notably 17 meters.  If your
KPA100 has blue/gray colored resistors at R19 and R20 they may be
suspect - the older blue/gray resistors were OK, but the later run of
resistors are a problem.

*If* the base K2 shows normal 17 meter power output and your KPA100 R19
and R20 resistors are suspect, *then* replace those resistors as a first
step.
OTOH, if the base K2 17 meter power is low, then the base K2 has a
problem of a different nature.
