My K2 (#2552, built and upgraded by WA2DKG) was the hero of our club's Field Day
this year. I brought it along just to let some other folks have a look at it and
play with it a bit. As it turned out, our main rig (an FT-1000MP MK5) and a
backup QRP rig both failed almost instantly when they were fired up. We had only
the K2 left and, having not really had much on-air time with it yet, I and a
couple other Hams broke out the user manual and got it on the air. It performed
excellently and the serious interest it generated among those who used it was
very gratifying. "This is really cool!" was a common remark. I think at least
one of our members was so impressed he will probably get one of his own. I was
also impressed with the rig's ease of use, stability and intuitive features.
