Evert,
Go to the Elecraft website and then surf to the "Order" page, then select "spare parts and mod kits", and select the list for the K2. You will see a list of upgrades in the list - many of them have the cut-in serial number listed. In your case, the keying waveform mod was the latest and it was cut-in at SN 4060, so your serial number includes that change. 73, Don W3FPR Evert Bakker (PA2KW) wrote: > I got the question from someone: > > > > "Is your K2/100 upp to latest version, revision, firmware..." > > > > Where can I find..How do I check? > > > > I've got K2-SN4836 > > > > 73's, Evert PA2KW > > _______________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Post to: [hidden email] > You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > Subscriber Info (Addr. Hello Evert,
The latest firmware update is: 2.04R. It just came out. Turn off your radio and turn it back on. As the word "Elecraft" appears hit the "display" button. Your current firmware version will be at the left side of your LCD. - Larry, NU4B

Mine says: 2.04P 1.09
My K2's serial number is: 4950. What's the difference? As far as I can tell, its only that the sidetone source is fixed (as opposed to selectable?)... It doesn't sound like its worth doing; what am I missing? Thanks and 73 de Dave, W5SV - happily enjoying my Elecraft family - K3, K2, k1, KX-1 gearjam wrote: > Hello Evert, > The latest firmware update is: 2.04R. Dave,
The only difference between 2.04p and 2.04r is that the sidetone source in 2.04p is switchable between U6-25 and U8-4 where in 2.04r it is fixed at U8-4. Those with serial numbers less than 3000 will have to add the sidetone source mod (if it has not been previously applied) to use 2.04r. The sidetone source change has already been applied to any K2 that has had either option KPA100 or KIO2 installed. 73, Don W3FPR David F.
