K2 w/ KPA100 for sale

Bob & Debbie Fish
Hello All,
I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy building the gear more than
actually operating the gear. I am getting the urge to build something
again, and the purchasing dept. ( my lovely wife) refuses approve
funding for this new project. (I dont blame her). So it is with great
reluctance that I offer the following for sale:
K2  #4351 With: KSB2, KAT2, KIO2   also the KPA100 which is built into a
separate EC2 enclosure.
I have worked as an electronics tech for over 20 years. I think I did a
pretty good job building this stuff,  it worked the first time I powered
it up and has worked great ever since.
I was going to eventually install KAT-100 tuner into the KPA-100
enclosure but haven't got around to it yet. This could be easily done
and would be a nice enhancement to this rig. The way it is set up now,
you can operate it at home with 100 watts or to go portable (which I
have not done), you just disconnect the cables from the back of the K2
and off you go, antenna tuner and all.(no switching top covers). The I/O
cable is a "Y" cable that not only connects the K2 with the KPA100 it
also connects to the serial port of a PC. So you can control the rig
with software. I will include all interconnecting cables.
I am already having second thoughts and I haven't even finished typing
the ad. I would definitely keep it if I had adequate funding for new
projects. The rig works great, I have been very happy with it. I have
made contacts all over the world on SSB and CW.  I will build another
one someday I'm sure.

I have about 1400 dollars into this rig (not counting my time) and I
will let it go for $1250.00

Reluctantly,

Bob  K6GGO
