My K2 (s/n 3641) has the "old style" case, with the tranverter holes
in the top cover. I'm planning to install both the K8ZOA IF buffer and N0SS T-R key switch. Each of them tells me to drill a hole for the output jack in the same place :-) Could someone please tell me the dimensions for the "new" transverter holes? It seems like I am best of mimicing that layout ... or make another suggestion if there's something that will work better. Thanks! 73 de chris K6DBG _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Hello Chris,
There is a template for both holes in the K60XV instruction manual. Download it and you will fine the details. There is also a location near the key jack that can accommodate an RCA jack - see the photos in the K2 Fixed Audio Output article on my website http://w3fpr.qrpradio.com if you would like to use that location instead. 73, Don W3FPR Chris Kantarjiev wrote: > My K2 (s/n 3641) has the "old style" case, with the tranverter holes > in the top cover. Chris:
The K2 version IF buffer has an SMA bulkhead connector that requires a 0.25" diameter hole and about 0.375 inch or so clearance for the flange on the inside of the case. Perhaps an inch or so projects back into the interior. Anywhere you can find free space to fit should work.
