K2USA

Roger D Johnson
I was never at Ft Monmouth...took my training at Ft Gordon. We had
a small hamshack there not nearly as elaborate as k2USA. I almost
blew up the building one night. My first experience firing a furnace
using soft coal.

I had my training at Ft. Monmouth.  They had a great Collins station available for HAMS to use.

As I recall dad took training at Camp Gordon (during Korea hot
conflict), then to Fort Benning, and finally at Fort Monmouth.  He was
in repair not operating, so I doubt he paid much attention to the stuff
he worked on.  I'll show him pictures and he just says he doesn't
remember.  He remembers a lot of other things from his two year stint.
