K3/0: Use of Heil Proset 4/AD1-K

I just bought the headset and can't get the microphone to work connected to
the front panel mic jack on the K3/0. I have no way to check whether the mic
is at fault and cannot check the adaptor because the RRC is using the rear
panel mic and PTT connectors. Will this combo work with the remote set-up?
