Hello,
Anyone know another place out of HRO that sell the Remoterig in US? This guys at HRO don´t answer order emails!. I need to know wich is the K3 model. From the website I don´t know if they have it. So Wayne, when will be available to buy Remoterig from Elecraft? Can you give us an idea of the K3/0 price? Thanks, Jorge CX6VM/CW5W K3 #4077 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Jorge,
The "standard" RemoteRig RRC set supports the K3 Twin mode, there is not a separate one hardware-wise, like there is for Yaesu. There is a separate box available called " K3 Twin" that adds all the cables necessary to connect both K3's to their respective RRC's. However, you can build these cables if you want to save money, the schematics are contained in the manual that you can download from the RemoteRig web site. You can buy: - Either the standard RRC set from HRO, direct from RemoteRig in Sweden or another dealer and build your own cables. The cable set is also available separately (sold as the K3 Accessory Kit). - Or buy the K3 Twin set including cables, currently only directly from RemoteRig in Sweden. Elecraft should hopefully be selling these soon. I assume Eric or Wayne will advise on availability of these from Elecraft, as well as the K3/0, as soon as they are ready to. 73, Mitch DJ0QN On 06.02.2012 19:56, Jorge Diez - CX6VM wrote: > Hello, > > > > Anyone know another place out of HRO that sell the Remoterig in US? > > > > This guys at HRO don´t answer order emails!. > > > > I need to know wich is the K3 model. I remember in some topics that the KX3 will be leverageable as a remote rig. I am looking forward to more info on that topic and capability, because that will be the first capability expansion I will purchase from Elecraft after I receive the KX3.

We do plan to add our fast "remote rig" protocol to the KX3. Initially
it will be for KX3-to-KX3 only, but we're talking about allowing a KX3 to control a remote K3 as well. The trick will be translating the similar but not identical control sets. Can't put a date on either of these yet. Wayne On Feb 6, 2012, at 11:16 AM, Keith Heimbold wrote: > I remember in some topics that the KX3 will be leverageable as a > remote rig. Thanks Mitch,
Now is clear for me, so the standard remoterig will work for me with my actual K3 and a radio control software. Once I have another K3 or K3/0 I will need this cables, but the remoterig boxes are the same. I need to buy remoterig in USA. So since HRO don´t answer me I am looking for another USA dealer. 73, Jorge CX6VM -----Mensaje original----- De: Mitch Wolfson DJØQN [mailto:[hidden email]] Enviado el: Lunes, 06 de Febrero de 2012 05:08 p.m. Para: Jorge Diez - CX6VM CC: [hidden email] Asunto: Re: [Elecraft] K3/0 and Remoterig Jorge, The "standard" RemoteRig RRC set supports the K3 Twin mode, there is not a separate one hardware-wise, like there is for Yaesu. on the teaser for the KX3 there is mention of a ram mount.
1) when will that be available? 2) there are different connectors in the ram mount series, if one wants to start looking at suppliers etc, what ram mount connector will the KX3 be able to connected to. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Wait for the posting and addition to the web page. I am here in Orlando for the Orlando Hamcatin ARRL hamfest. I ran out of time this week to get it on the web site as I had to prep for the show and catch an early Flight on Thursday.
Next week, I hope! I apologize for the delay. 73, Eric www.elecraft.com _..._ ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I am finally getting this up on the web order form later today. (It took
more time than expected to recover from the two ham shows back to back over the past two weeks.) The K3/0 is $695.95 The Remoterig 1258MKII set is 499.95 We'll also have our cable sets up there for the various configurations. 73, Eric --- www.elecraft.com On 2/23/2012 6:00 AM, Jorge Diez - CX6VM wrote: > Hello Eric, > > Something about K3/0 price and remoterig? > > Thanks, > Jorge > CX6VM/CW5W > K3 #4077 > ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Oh drats! Missed giving you guys some business at Elecraft. I just received my RemoteRig K3-Twin Package about 3 weeks ago direct from Mikael in Sweden. I am 95% connected and with one more trip to the remote site tonight maybe I will have it all! Audio sounds great, just haven't got control of the radio yet.

See: http://www.elecraft.com/elecraft_prod_list.htm#k3remote You can use either a K3/0 or a regular K3 to control the remote K3 over you local network or the internet.
