K3/100 transmit gain configuration problem

Ci Jones
I am helping a friend build his K3/100. When doing the transmit gain calibration, everything calibrates on five watts, but on fifty watts, all bands calibrate except for 17 meters. It appears the SWR is high to the radio on this band and the wattage output will not settle (the verbiage used by the program). All else, including transmitting at high power on this band, seems to be fine. Any suggestions as to what may be the problem? Thanks, Ci, WU7R

Does he have the wrong  antenna selected on 17M?  The K3 remembers
antenna selection on a per-band basis.
