K3 #1209 :: here, built, and truly an inspiration

Steve Jackson-5
K2 #0771, the World's Most Experienced Elecraft, has been replaced by K3 #1209.

K3:  Ordered 2/19, arrived 7/10, now on the air.  Just about 6 1/2 hrs. assembly time (K3/100/ATU).  My humble congratulations to the development team.

The K2 - nearly nine years old - has been set up as a field portable rig again, and will see many more years of such action.  It competes with my K1 (#1181, I think) for trips.

Is somebody keeping a wish list for K3 features?  It'd be great to have a finer selection of CW sidetone frequencies, something smaller than 50 Hz.  10 Hz, like the K2, is nice.  Or actually better ... musical note progressions.  G(3 [196 Hz] to G(5 [784 Hz] would be great.  25 notes.  More or less the same firmware it takes to make the CTCSS generator for the 10M & 6M FM modes.
