K3 2.7 & 2.8 kHz Filters

Sorry if this has benn asked before!

 

What are the practical as opposed to the technical differences between these 2 filters. That is, what difference will I notice in everyday operating, rag chewing, DX'ing and contesting? For SSB contesting I plan to add the 1.8kHz filter anyway.
