K3: 22 days to the K3's 1st birthday

DOUGLAS ZWIEBEL
Wow...it's almost a full year (Visalia was April 27, 2007).

Bet this past year has been nothing like what Eric and Wayne (Lyle,
etc) expected.  And Wayne (Mr. 24/7) is apparently still alive!

Early Congrats on the impending first birthday of the K3 formal unveiling!

That makes ~600 production units in ~4 months (May-Aug).  150/month with extended deliveries, no 3rd party reviews, no advertising, etc.  I'll bet the order rate is now closer to 250/month or even higher.  I'm sure the K3 is making its presence felt in the order books of competitors, especially now that "the word" is out.

Congratulations to the early adopters who quickly recognized what an outstanding value the K3 is, but especially to Wayne and Eric for having the audacity to set a new standard that the competition must now scramble to match!

BTW I had to laugh out loud when I saw a new IC-7700 owner tout its 7.2 pound tuning knob!  Gosh "he could've had a K3" for only 1 more pound!  ;-)

Try and find someone with the IC-7700 and spin the dial - it has a beautiful
feel to it. The radio itself has a fine interface and is very usable, I
would dearly like one.

In Europe the IC-7700 is selling *very* well indeed.
