I am so very impressed with my K3 that I am now seriously considering
changing the order for the KRX3-F High Performance Sub-receiver to a 2nd K3 (10W basic, pre-assembled). I plan to replace my TS-2000 for satellite use with the low power K2 and transverters - Elecraft / 3rd-party, when not playing satellites / EME / MS I can use it for general receiving with the primary K3 hooked up for digital modes. This would be a project for late March / April - too cold for antenna assembly outside at the moment, we have early snows here: http://gallery.ham-radio.ch/main.php?g2_itemId=13868 . How far have other K3 owners got in designing a VHF / UHF station with a K3 as the exciter? Never mind being envious of the fact that you HAVE a K3 you just had to make
it worse by posting pics of your WX didn't you! Looks lovely and much preferable to the usual damp dingy UK November. 73 (grudgingly) Paul :-) -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Simon Brown (HB9DRV) Sent: 17 November 2007 09:29 To: Elecraft Subject: [Elecraft] K3: 2nd RX or 2nd K3? Instead of spending all day on Ham Radio Deluxe I went out for a walk. While
you are waiting for your K3 look at http://gallery.ham-radio.ch/main.php?g2_itemId=13912 and just weep. It's the lens which makes the difference... The only thing stopping me being envious is the thought that it must get tiresome falling over all the time. -- Julian, G4ILO K2 s/n: 392 K3 s/n: ???
