K3 - 3.5mm plugs

K5WA
I know this may sound silly but does anyone know the exact/best
specification for the correct plugs to plug into the 3.5mm jacks on the back
(such as the phones, mic, speaker, line out, line in)?  I have purchased
several over the years and I guess I'm buying really cheap ones because they
seem to be losing contact with the jack and I'd like to buy the "right" ones
to get good connections.

Thanks,

Bob K5WA

I've had excellent results with the Neutrik REAN NYS231 connector
family. I use the NYS231G for all my 3.5mm cables. These connectors are
available from Mouser under their part number 568-NYS231G.

I'm fortunate to have electronics surplus and swap meets in my area. Lots of
gold plated audio connectors have been dumped on the market lately (Ebay
too) under the Extron Electronics name and I recently picked up some 3.5mm
stereo phone plugs (#100-331-xx). They seem to fit pretty well. I have more
than I'll probably need so if you look them up and like what you see send me
a direct email.
