K3 3 years new today

Buck - k4ia
Three years ago today (also my birthday) I had the pleasure of birthing K3
#101.  Since that time, Elecraft has made available free software  upgrades
and reasonably priced mod kits.  Because of the unique modular  design, I
can add functions as time and budget allow.  In a few days, I'll  install the
second receiver.  Try that with a KenYaeCom.  Bottom line  - my K3 is
better today than the day it was born.  Wish I could say the  same for myself.

Every other radio or piece of electronic gear I have  owned was obsolete or
eclipsed by new technology in 3 years.  The K3 has  kept ahead of the
competition and will undoubtedly be "leader of the shack" for  a long time to
come.

Thank you Elecraft and all you Elecrafters who have  made a truly
remarkable radio even better with each passing year.

Unique business model, no?  Maybe it will show up in my great grand
children's Econ 101 textbooks.
