First my hat is off to the Elecraft crew for a finely documented kit that
was a real pleasure to build. Any time I doubted a step, a simple re-read
cleared it up, and THEY were right, hi. Also, ANY time I suspected a screw
shortage, it turned out that I had put one of the wrong type (pan head vs
flat head) in the wrong place!! I had only three glitches, and two of them
were solved by list members in minutes of posting. The third was me
twisting off one of the "studs" that attaches the RS-232 connector to the
cover. I've done that on computers, so that's nothing new AND Elecraft had
nicely sent two spares, so that was a quick fix. All, including the KBPF3
and KPA3 test fine and work well so far. NOW to learn how to use this fine
rig. Thanks again to all for the assists!!!
