K3 5143 ERR TXG on 10m & 6m?

Ross Primrose
I've suddenly started getting a ERR TXG on 10m & 6m on my 10w K3 (SN
5143). Trying to perform the 5W TX calibration fails when if gets to
10m. Ideas?

Thanks, and 73, Ross N4RP

Hello Ross,

I had the same problem, witch is partial solved.
On my s/n #6552 the problem start with some suddenly loss of power on 10  and also on 6 meter.
After some days, he fails completely the calibration.
The problem was one of the resistors on the LPA ( R-15, 2,7ohm 1/2 watt) that change value to a bigger one.
The problem is solved for the low bands, but, on the high bands still have random fails.
I have ordered new FET´s in order to replace the driver and maybe, the finals of the LPA (RD06HHF1 and RD15HVF1).
I have intention to replace the RD06HHF1 for a RD06HVF1 as this one works better on the 50 mhz region.

sorry for my bad English, but is not my native language.

Hello,

Problem solved. New RD06HVF1 instead of RD06HHF1 and the output is stable.
