K3 8khz wide sig tracks VFO A ~30khz lower in frequency (SOLVED)

Where you previously using the BNC cable supplied by Elecraft?

Bingo, finally (3rd cable I tried) found a good cable that cleared up
the problem.

Yes it was, in fact I tried 2 different Elecraft BNC-BNC cables, both
had the problem.

The cables had molded ends over the metal of the outer shell of the
connector and are marked ELECTRONICS RG58 9142 M
