just saw, that when you switch off AGC, the S-meter and receiver Gain will stay at the level where it was at the moment when you switch off agc - for example noise at S4, switch off AGC - S-meter will still show S4 and gain is also reduced, switching off antenna before AGC off and antenna on again will show S0 and full receiver gain...
