Hi
Anyone else notice this problem.
1. The K3 is placed into the AM mode, the tune button is then pressed for a normal tune cycle while in the AM mode..
2. Immediately after doing a tune, the transmitter is then keyed in the AM mode, the power spikes upwards to 60 watts of carrier and stays at 60 watts of carrier each time you key on AM.
3. Adjusting the power output control makes the K3 reset to a nominal 40 watts of carrier power and the power output is stable. Initiating another tune cycle with the tune button will again increase the AM carrier power.
4. If you don't touch the power control the K3 will output 60 watts of carrier power. If you then just slightly adjust the power output control the power resets to 40 watts of AM carrier.
All tests were done into a dummy load. I am using the latest Beta Firmware release. I did not test the AM mode in previous Beta releases.
