Anyone else find it "interesting" that the K3 has been
in the works for several years (even while other major stuff was being rolled out) and wonder "So what's in the works -right now- that nobody knows about?". It could be the tuning pod/keypad thing, a bandscope, analog S-meter, or anything else that has been asked for in the K3. Could it be the K4 they are working on already? !!! Given the past history with Elecraft transceivers, they would be working on something smaller than the K1 after the K3. This would be what... the K .5 ??? (the one half K) or maybe the K- (K negative) or maybe the Elecraft "nano". I'd like to see a kit that provides single press actions for operations they didn't have room to include on the front panel of the K3. If I designed it, it would look like a combination of a rock band's mixer board and an 18 wheel truck on its side. They havent asked for my help on this yet. ;-) Chances are, whatever you ask for however, the guys have already done some fiddling with the idea and maybe theyre even working on it. How annoying is that-? _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Not annoying at all - great that they have such a fine new product to
offer. What's your point Don ... other than to be annoying
yourself? You act as if "they" should consult "us" about every design concept. Keep the K3 a secret? You bet! That's how one keeps the competition at bay. Other products in planning? I do hope so! Have you ever seen a company who has customers lining up to hand 'em money for a product that's not yet available? Now, if they's just sell stock in the company ... (:-)) You've "missed me" completely ... and I suspect many more of us. 73!
