K3 Autonotch Gremlin

Roy Morris-6
Stewart,
I have experienced the same thing.  When I downloaded v.3.25 the autonotch did not seem to work on any band.  The next day I tried the autonotch and it worked well on a 40 meter broadcast heterodyne but not as well as the manual notch (as expected).  I was not able to find a suitable heterodyne on the other bands to check further.  Roy Morris  W4WFB

Hi All,
So much info about the P3.  What about the W2?  Like how accurate will it be
if used with the PC?  I would like to be able to compare it to the LP-100A.

Steve, W2MY

I suspect the reason some are experiencing "not working" one day and
"working" the next day is that they are overlooking the requirement to
reboot the K3 following each firmware upgrade (just like a computer,
which it is).

G'day,

After loading a firmware version I always powered down the K3 for
approximately 10 seconds.

Perhaps, but I don't think that's likely.

The K3 Utility causes an MCU reset (a "reboot") after loading each firmware
file. That's what's happening when the display goes dark for a second or two
after loading each firmware file.

I noted the same issue with the autonotch. I kind of works but before the latest firmware the autonotch just made +20 and +40 tuner uppers just disappear. Now is still works but not like before. It sort of hunts for the carrier and kills 70%.
