K3 Banner not working

PaulF
I loaded the new K3 firmware (2.78/1.98) and the new K3 utility 1.2.1.6.
I click on the utility Configuration > Edit Power On Banner, type some
characters, and click Save.

When I power my K3 (#757) off and on, I do not see the Banner characters on the
K3 LCD. The LCD is blank for a couple of seconds then show the frequency.

I have tried with different text and with asking the K3 Utility to Save
Configuration. What step am I missing?

Paul

Hi Paul,

Which version of the K3 Utility are you using (Windows, Mac or Linux)?

The banner scrolls across VFO B. It's kinda easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

Paul,  dumb question but are you looking at VFO B readout area or
looking for the banner on the whole screen?   The banner is just
scrolled in small letters on the VFO B read out space.

Paul

I thought mine wasn't working but the text comes up on the VFO B readout and
scrolls to the left. Are you sure that you are not missing it.

Merv,

Thanks. You are right -- I was expecting it on the LCD in the first few seconds
and not in the VFO B space.
