K3 Button Function

Can anyone, besides the K3 finalization team, explain
the function of the K3 "AFX" button?

AFX is the "Audio Effects" function.  It is not finalized yet, but
envisioned to control stereo AF output, binaural audio, panning, mixing,
etc.

P.S.  As a K3 field tester, does that make me part of the "K3 finalization
