Some of us contesters have commented about using the K3 in last weekend's WPX Contest. One of those comments which seem to repeat itself is about the RIT control. Although I found the control to be OK....I would like to see one change or menu item option. I would like the K3 to forgo the "B" VFO read out when I am running stations and show me just the RIT and XIT offset. In a contest (for the most part) one is not working split. Yes, I know about 40 meters! This would not always work for every contest, but I would find it convenient for most of them. I wonder if this could be done using I or II and be able to toggle back and forth in a macro. Again, I am not sure what is possible and what is not. Then again, I might have a strange taste here and others would flame me to a crisp. It is just an idea. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. If you press DISP you can indeed access replace the VFO B readout with
the RIT offset (I'm not sure about XIT). You select it (from among several choices) using the VFO B knob.
