K3 CW Keying Question

I have a K3 ordered and in preparation have been reading the manual I
downloaded.  If I understand the manual I can use one CW jack to key the
radio with my computer using Writelog, etc.  The other jack I can use
the K3 internal keyer with my paddle.

What has precedence?  If I am sending with the computer what happens if
I hit the paddle, etc.?
