K3 CW Monitor Question & CW Canceling when front panel key pressed ?

I tried searching for answers but was not able to come up with anything, sorry if this has already been covered...

I'm using the KY command to have the K3 send CW for me and I also have a paddle connected.  I would like the cw monitor to be off for items sent by the KY command but have the monitor on for when the paddle is used.  I did not see any config or other way to do this... maybe I missed it?  I have done this in the past with WinKey as it can be configured to do this and I think it's a common thing so I'm surprised I can't find anything about doing this on the K3.  I don't want to send a ML0 with my KY as then if I touch the paddle to interrupt the KY, the monitor will not get turned back on unless I spin the knob.

The second question is that any time I press a front panel key while KY is sending CW, the CW is cancelled.  Is there a config I'm missing that will allow pressing front panel buttons and not cancel the CW being sent by KY?

Anyone have any thoughts?
